EDUCATION
Winters is very proud of its schools. All totaled, there are approximately 1750 students in the district. Students compete successfully in a variety of sports and academic activities including an Academic Decathlon. The high school has a very strong agricultural program with its students frequently winning state and national honors.
Winters fosters a nurturing environment for both students and teachers. There is an active PTA and parent involvement in the schools is encouraged. Winters schools attract and retain teachers from all over. One reason for this is the district’s strong Teacher Mentor program which pairs new teachers with seasoned veterans
With a growing music program and an outstanding arts program, a number of students attend the highly competitive Cal State Summer School for the Arts each year. Winters offers its students cultural diversity, academic excellence, sports, parental involvement and a safe environment. It’s a great place for kids to grow and learn.
